My work experience is directly connected to my teaching methods

I always co-relate my work experience to
my teaching methods.
I had been working in the Hospitality Industry for over
25 years and with the sudden closure of the Five Star Hotel
that I was managing in Central London in 2008,
I decided to come back to Singapore to start teaching in
a University here.
A close friend of mine suggested that I should utilize
my spare time to teach English to the Japanese community
in the city.
Over the past couple of years I have built a solid reputation
with both young learners and Adults learners who have shown
keen interest to learn the Queens language.
Consequently, I have learnt a lot from the Japanese
community too.
I have used my rich work experience in the Service Industry
as the foundation to impart education to my students.
Teaching from the books can be very boring but
if a person can relate teaching to real life situations,
then the lessons become more interesting and practical.
Moreover, I teach my students in such a way that
they not only learn the language but also become better
human beings, so that they can use their language skills
in actual situations on a day to day basis.
